The v/h journal / Visual note

Count the whole job

Count the work after "done."

Imagine a device that saves three minutes on a task, then adds five minutes of cleanup. The main action got faster, but the whole routine got longer.

For v/h, usefulness has to include setup, cleanup and upkeep. A result can be good while the product is still too much work to own.

We want to compare the owner's total effort with the way they already do the job. That includes getting the product ready for next time.

An agent under the hood has to earn its place in that comparison. Added capability should come with a manageable routine.

Our first utility is in development. Manageable upkeep is a design requirement we still have to prove in use.

What device do you use less often because cleaning it is too much work?

An ivory v/h design graphic with the headline Count the whole job. Four steps read Get ready, Do the task, Clean up, and Put it away. Do the task is highlighted in red, and a red bracket spans all four steps. Supporting text says The whole routine counts. The footer reads A design requirement for our first utility, with vh.do.
